A little bottle of science not magic

What's it all about?

What's in the bottle?

Well, 20 billion bacteria to be precise. Called L. casei Shirota, they’re named after the scientist Dr Shirota who cultivated this unique strain that is scientifically proven to reach the gut alive.  The other few ingredients make up the fermented milk drink you see today. You see, with Yakult, it’s all about the bacteria. And it always will be. Read more

What is the difference between the red and blue top?

The red top is the original Yakult and the blue top is Yakult Light.  Both have the same number of unique bacteria; however, Yakult Light is enriched with vitamins D & E.

How much and how often should I drink Yakult?

We suggest one bottle a day. However, it’s fine to drink more than one a day as part of a balanced diet.
